On July 1, the NBA’s free agency period will begin. That date will also mark a change not in who fans get their news from, but where. According to SI.com’s Richard Deitsch, Adrian Wojnarowski will officially join ESPN that day.

Wojnarowski’s departure to ESPN has been known for weeks, although the exact date has remained unclear.

It’s been a turbulent year for ESPN in 2017, with many prominent on air personalities being laid off. Wojnarowski’s addition will be a big deal for the Worldwide Leader, and will only help its NBA coverage.
