Adrian Peterson ruled out for Week 14 with neck injury

Adrian Peterson makes his debut with the Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals will play their second game in a row without running back Adrian Peterson. Peterson has been dealing with a neck injury, and head coach Bruce Arians has ruled him out for Sunday’s home tilt against the Tennessee Titans.

The good news is that it was reported Friday that Peterson will not require surgery.

Since being traded to the Cardinals prior to Week 6, Peterson has been the team’s primary ball carrier. Throughout Weeks 6-12, Peterson has toted the ball 129 times for a total of 448 yards and and two touchdowns.

His absence on Sunday, along with that of wideout John Brown, surely does nothing to help the Cardinals’ offense. The team is currently sitting at third in the NFC West with a 5-7 record.

Just like last game, look for running back Kerwynn Williams to fill in for Peterson.
