Adrian Peterson practices for first time in nearly two weeks

The Washington Redskins will be hitting the ground running following their Week 4 bye. Forced to take on a red-hot New Orleans Saints offense, the team is going to need all hands on deck.

That’s where Adrian Peterson’s return to the practice field for the first time in nearly two weeks on Thursday comes into play.

Peterson had not practiced since suffering an ankle injury in a Week 3 win over the Green Bay Packers. His status for Sunday’s game was seemingly up in the air prior to Thursday’s news.

This is some rather big news given Peterson had put up 336 total yards and three touchdowns in three games this season.

His presence could help the Redskins maintain control of the ball in a game where Drew Brees and Co. will be looking to continue at their record-setting pace.
