Adrian Gonzalez Knocking Bombs and Breaking Records

Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is on quite the roll early this season. Repeating his power days from late last decade, the 32-year-old veteran has popped a ridiculous five homers in the team’s first three games.

On Wednesday night alone, Gonzalez hit a homer in his first three at-bats against the division-rival San Diego Padres.

As SB Nation points out, Gonzalez’s early-season performance has put him in the record books. He’s the FIRST player in baseball history to hit five homers in his team’s first three games.

That’s some amazing stuff from a player that many figured didn’t have a whole lot left in the tank in the power department. If Gonzalez continues anywhere near this pace, the Dodgers will be in a good position in the National League West.
