Adrian Beltre shops at JC Penney, accidentally finds himself in TV ad

Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

During the holiday season, recently retired Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre was at J.C. Penney shopping with his family. He ended up in a commercial.

Jacqui Saldana of Baby Boy Bakery talked to guests about the significance of gift-giving, even offering to buy them something. Beltre accepted the offer, saying that he wanted to donate his gift to the less fortunate.

It’s a really nice ad with a good message.

It’s funny that nobody involved seemed remotely aware that they were talking to a future Hall of Fame baseball player. But more than that, it shows what a good, caring person that Beltre is.
