Adam Gase to Dolphins: ‘Either get the job done or we’ll find someone that does’

Adam Gase

After a shutout loss and an overall dismal offensive effort this season, Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase has lost his patience. Jobs look to be on the line as Gase has issued this stern warning.

“The excuses are running out. Either get the job done or we’ll find somebody that does, Gase said, per Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald.”

That is about as black and white as it gets. Do your job or you will be removed of your duties. Based on our own observations, this would have to include quarterback Jay Cutler, who is not executing plays properly and has scored only two touchdowns in three games.

Watching the Dolphins in action has been simply horrifying with the team putting up a total of six points in its last two games. Week 5 gives the Dolphins a chance to turn things around when the team finally gets to play on its home field. Miami hosts the Tennessee Titans, who are having their own set of struggles as well.

If the Dolphins cannot produce a win in a matchup against a Titans team that could be missing quarterback Marcus Mariota, it appears Gase is ready to crack some eggs.

It doesn’t seem likely right now. But should Cutler get benched, only quarterback Matt Moore waits in the wings. The team also needs running back Jay Ajayi to return to 100 percent health so he can step up his contribution.

If Sunday doesn’t go well, we might be seeing some new faces as Gase attempts to revive his sinking Dolphins ship.
