Aaron Rodgers offers perfect response to idea of Packers drafting a quarterback

Aaron Rodgers started his career a first-round pick brought in to replace a Hall of Fame quarterback. Now with the possibility of facing a similar fate, Rodgers offered the perfect response when he was asked about the Packers drafting a quarterback.

Coming off an age-36 season that saw Rodgers show signs of decline, there has been increased speculation that his days in Green Bay are numbered. As always, Rodgers had the perfect response and seemingly welcomed the challenge if Green Bay’s front office drafts his heir.

It would be understandable if the Packers seriously consider drafting their future quarterback. While Rodgers finished the season with 4,000 passing yards and a 26-4 TD-INT ratio, he didn’t look close to his MVP-caliber form from previous seasons.

Of course, Rodgers’ struggles this past season can be traced back to an underwhelming supporting cast. Instead of drafting a quarterback for the future, the Packers would be better off with the latest mock draft and selecting a top receiver to help Rodgers compete for another Super Bowl.
