Aaron Judge taken to hospital after being hit by pitch

Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge was hit on the wrist with a pitch in Thursday’s game against the Kansas City Royals. The New York Yankees slugger was eventually removed from the game and taken to the hospital.

If there’s anything to be upbeat about, it’s that he initially stayed in the game and even took another at-bat. So, this could just be precautionary.

Certainly, the Yankees can ill afford to lose Judge as they try to chase the Boston Red Sox down in the American League East. He’s hitting .285/.398/.548 with 26 home runs on the year.
