Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has joined other players at his position in having nightmares about Aaron Donald.

We don’t know if that is 100% true. But it has to be given just how much of a terror the Los Angeles Rams legend was to quarterbacks around the NFL during his Hall of Fame-worthy 10-year career.

Donald shockingly announced his retirement from the game on Friday after a decade of brilliant play.

“For 10 years, I have been fortunate to play the game of football at the highest level. I am thankful for the people I’ve met along the way, the relationships I’ve built an the things I’ve accomplished with my teammates and individually,” Aaron Donald wrote on X. “I would like to thank St. Louis for the love and support during my first two years in the league as a St. Louis Ram, and through my eight years as a Los Angeles Ram. I would like to thank Los Angeles for the love and support throughout my career as well.”

While fans and media members were paying homage to one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the game, Murray opted to go a different route. Check out his absolutely brilliant response to Donald’s retirement on X. It’s perfection.

That has to be how quarterbacks around the league and in the NFC West are feeling right now. Donald racked up 111 sacks throughout his decade run in Southern California. That ranks 40th all-time in the NFL and No.1 all-time in Rams franchise history.

As for Kyler Murray, the nightmare we talked about above might not go away any time soon.

This was pretty much Murray’s own way of paying his respects to Aaron Donald after one of the greatest careers for a defender in league history.

Well done, sir.
