A.J. Green expected to miss ‘a few’ regular season games following ankle surgery

A.J. Green

The Cincinnati Bengals will reportedly be without star wide receiver A.J. Green for at least the first few games of the 2019 season.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported Tuesday that Green will miss “a few games” following ankle surgery.

This really is a rough blow for an offense that already was heading into the 2019 season without a top player. First-round rookie left tackle Jonah Williams could miss the entire season after an offseason shoulder injury.

Zac Taylor, the rookie head coach who has never had any coordinating experience in the NFL before landing this gig, really has his work cut out for him.
