49ers heavy betting favorites to land Antonio Brown

NFL celebration penalties, Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown made huge waves once more on Tuesday with a message on Twitter saying goodbye to Pittsburgh Steelers fans. Following his post, NFL insiders reported that Brown has officially requested a trade.

It didn’t take long for some new odds to pop up (via Bovada) on where Brown is favored to land in 2019. If you’ve been following his social media accounts in recent weeks, then it should come as no surprise to hear that the San Francisco 49ers are heavily favored to land the star out of all the teams not named the Steelers.

Brown will be a huge prize in terms of what he brings to the table from a production standpoint.

The big question as it pertains to the 49ers is this: Will a team that’s already been burned multiple times by players with character concerns make a play for Brown?

Brown has had serious issues inside the Steelers locker room, over an extended period of time.

He has also had trouble off the field. On Tuesday, news broke that he was found guilty of reckless driving. He has recently been in the news due to a domestic dispute with his daughter’s mother, though his lawyer deemed it a “baseless” accusation.

Whether the Steelers can land a nice haul in return for Brown in a trade is also up for debate in light of one recent report indicating his trade value has tanked. This seemingly never-ending story will continue to be hot for the foreseeable future. And while the future is murky, it seems clear Brown won’t be with Pittsburgh next year.
