Two-hundred fifty-seven prospects will hear their name called during the 2024 NFL Draft from April 25-27. Over the next two to three weeks, players will have to be on their best behavior, trying to avoid any scenarios that could potentially damage their stock ahead of the NFL Draft.

Unfortunately, Texas Longhorns defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat didn’t get the memo.

According to NBC’s KXAN, Sweat was booked into Travis County Jail on Sunday after being charged with driving while intoxicated. Sweat, who’s projected to become a Day 2 draft pick, was arrested by the Austin Police Department around 2 pm local time, where he currently faces what’s known as a Class B misdemeanor in the state of Texas.

After being named the Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Sweat saw his draft stock rise to the point where he’s currently viewed as one of the best interior defenders available, after his teammate Byron Murphy II, who’s projected to become a first-round pick.

We’ve seen off-field concerns seemingly impact a player’s draft stock before, and while Sweat is currently projected to be drafted in the second or third round, we’ll have to wait until NFL Draft weekend to see if he becomes the latest prospect to suffer draft-day slide.
