The New York Yankees are on fire to open the season, and so is slugger Aaron Judge, who made MLB history in the first eight games.

Aaron Judge is first player to hit five go-ahead home runs in first eight games

According to Elias Sports (via ESPN Stats & Info), Judge is the first player in MLB history with five go-ahead home runs in the first eight games of his team’s season. Additionally, his six home runs in the first eight games is tied with Alex Rodriguez (2007) for the most through eight games in Yankees history.

Judge isn’t just hitting them out of the ball park, either. He’s absolutely destroying baseballs.

He’s hit home runs in five straight games and is on an absolute tear. If he keeps up this pace, Judge would hit an astonishing 45 home runs … in a 60-game season.

Here’s a look at all six of his dingers during this amazing stretch.

When Judge is healthy, he’s absolutely lethal at the plate. Hopefully for his sake, and for the sake of our enjoyment, he’s able to complete this season.
