Washington’s NFL team has hired attorney Beth Wilkinson, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, on the verge of a bombshell story from The Washington Post that will highlight years of a toxic culture under owner Daniel Snyder.

Daniel Snyder and Washington’s NFL team made news on Monday after finally retiring their team name. It soon became clear that it wouldn’t be the only big story involving the franchise.

With rumors swirling about a bombshell from The Washington Post that will expose an alleged toxic culture throughout the organization, Snyder’s team has hired an attorney.

Washington’s NFL team hired DC attorney Beth Wilkinson to review the organization’s protocols, per league sources. While Wilkinson is expected to conduct a deep dive into the organization’s past culture, team officials are highly upset/frustrated about speculation running amok.

Wilkinson, based in Washington D.C., is a founding partner of Wilkinson Walsh + Eskovitz. The firm specializes in trial and litigation matters. She also represented Supreme Court Justice’s Brett Kavanaugh, who was accused of sexual assault.

According to Schefter, The Washington Post is preparing a story detailing the culture that existed within Snyder’s organization for years. Over the weekend, the club fired Alex Santos, their director of pro personnel, and Richard Mann II, the assistant director of pro personnel.

The story was originally expected to be published Tuesday, but then was pushed to Thursday. As of now, it has not been released.
