Peyton Manning will go down as one of the greatest players in NFL history. He should also be recognized for his Hall of Fame-caliber ability to troll old rival opponents, which he proved once again with the perfect shot at the Los Angeles Chargers.

Peyton Manning trolls Chargers over stadium attendance

While Manning is retired from the NFL, he is busier than ever this offseason. Between considering a career in broadcasting, surprising Tennessee students in class, playing golf and various Zoom calls, the former quarterback keeps himself occupied.

We’ve also seen Manning troll some of his peers this offseason. He took some hilarious shots at Tom Brady during the charity golf tournament. During a recent video call with the Denver Nuggets, Manning found a way to troll another NFL team when Denver Nuggets center Mason Plumlee sought advice on playing in an empty stadium.

“He was like, ‘I’m just not the one to answer that question,’” Plumlee recalled, via The Denver Post. “’You’d probably have to ask somebody with the Chargers or one of these other teams.”

Manning does have a point when it comes to him being the wrong person to ask. Few players were as beloved as him, with fans routinely selling out every NFL game he ever played in. Meanwhile, the Chargers struggle to draw a crowd wherever they are.

While the Chargers could fire back at Manning, it’s difficult to do that when they lost 10 games to him in 14 meetings. Ultimately, the team will just have to hope their new stadium eventually draws in fans, even if they are rooting for the other team.
