Sanders, ranked the No. overall 41 prospect in the 2021 recruiting class by ESPN, is committing to Florida Atlantic University after drawing offers from top programs across the country.

The 6-foot-2 quarterback attracted plenty of attention from college scouts out of Trinity Christian School in Texas. While being his father’s namesake might have drawn some attention, Shedeur’s play on the field did even more.

He received offers from Central Florida, Alabama, Arizona State, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia and numerous other programs across the country. However, Taggart’s recruiting pitch and an opportunity for Shedeur to create his own legacy at FAU clearly won out.

Shedeur Sanders’ stats at Trinity Christian High School showcase some of the incredible skills he brings to the football field. In three seasons playing varsity, Sanders completed 63.5% of his passes for 8,925 passing yards, 123 touchdown passes and a 128.2 quarterback rating.

This is an outstanding addition for FAU’s 2021 recruiting class, with Sanders becoming their first four-star commitment.
