WATCH: Dez Bryant still looks dangerous during intense pass-catching workout

Dez Bryant Dallas Cowboys

NFL veteran free agent wide receiver Dez Bryant looks ready for another chance at making a roster this summer. The former Dallas Cowboys star has continued to work out, and the latest video showing off his craft is a good indicator he’s in great shape.

Showing off the outstanding range he’s always possessed due to his long arms and sticky hands, Bryant looks smooth running routes in the open field.

Now, these quick clips of Bryant working out don’t prove he could dominate elite NFL competition. But Bryant does appear to be in excellent shape, looks to be moving fluidly, and can clearly still make difficult catches.

Dez Bryant has gotten interest from Dallas Cowboys

Due to the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe, NFL teams haven’t been in a rush to sign a guy who hasn’t played since the 2017 season. However, there have been whispers about teams showing interest in the 31-year-old touchdown maker.

In particular, the Dallas Cowboys have been in the news in connection with Bryant. Jerry Jones confirmed interest back in February. Since then, Bryant has worked out with the likes of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.

However, it would seem like Dallas may be off the table now. The ‘Boys selected CeeDee Lamb with the 17th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft and now have a potent trio with Michael Gallup and Amari Cooper.

Stats show Dez Bryant could still help an offense

Bryant has put up elite stats in his career. From 2012-14, he racked up 273 catches for 3,935 yards and 41 touchdowns. In his final regular season with the Cowboys (2017), Bryant still made an impact catching 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns.

An Achilles injury suffered in his first practice as a member of the New Orleans Saints derailed Bryant’s last NFL chance. After missing the 2019 campaign altogether, the veteran is doing everything he can to prove he can get back into the league. He can still make a difference, in the right situation.

Assuming Dallas is out, Bryant still has some options. One team in particular could use a touchdown maker after failing to provide one for a future Hall of Fame quarterback in the draft.
