Following the tragic death of George Floyd in police custody, the NFL world has come together to honor Floyd and call for change. The Dallas Cowboys are now joining that fight with a video to raise awareness for racial injustice across the United States.

The video features an overlay of news coverage during the protests following Floyd’s death, which eventually led to all four officers involved in the death being fired and charged.

“Our hearts are burning with anger and sadness,” the video read. “Racism and hatred have to stop. We have to come together to change the system.”

It also mentions the efforts the Cowboys began making in 2018 to help take part in the conversation about social injustice. The team emphasized the importance of having difficult discussions regarding race and policing within the United States.

In the video, which included appearances by Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott, the Cowboys called on players, police, judges and everyone around the country to be part of the solution.

At this point, owner Jerry Jones has not commented publicly regarding Floyd’s death or on the protests going on around the country. However, the team seems to be committed to being part of the efforts to bring positive change to the United States.
