Ricky Stenhouse didn’t even make it through one full lap of NASCAR’s Darlington race Sunday. He got a nudge in the back of his No. 47 car, spun out and crashed into the inside wall.

This first-lap crash brought out the caution flag.

After two months of nothing but virtual racing to tide fans over, Stenhouse’s wreck was a weird, yet somehow normalizing start to the race. Fans reacted on social media.
