The Las Vegas Raiders were one of 32 NFL teams to release their full 2020 schedule earlier in May.

Said schedule includes four nationally televised prime-time games, including a Week 2 outing against Drew Brees and the Saints to open up Allegiant Stadium in Vegas for regular-season action.

We now have a firm date and time set for the Raiders’ first ever game in Las Vegas. It will come Aug. 27. and will kickoff in the afternoon, according to Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Review Journal.

There’s still obviously a lot to work out between now and the end of August. That includes the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic plaguing the United States and whether fans will actually be in attendance.

As of right now, the NFL fully expects the regular season to start on time Sept. 10 with the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans.

Whether preseason action will even be on the table depends heavily on how the pandemic plays out here in the short term.

For now, fans in Vegas can get excited about learning when the Raiders’ first game in Vegas is scheduled to be played.
