The COVID-19 pandemic does not discriminate. We’ve seen star athletes, heads of state and Hollywood elite test positive for the virus.

Denver Broncos star and former Super Bowl MVP Von Miller was the latest to test positive, the future Hall of Famer announced on Thursday.

Miller, 31, noticed a cough recently and went down the street from his Colorado residence to get tested. Two days later, the results came back positive.

The talented defender took to NBC’s “Today” show on Friday to discuss it all. Miller, who suffers from asthma, indicated that his girlfriend told him to get tested for the virus. While his symptoms are said to be mild, this pre-existing condition is worrisome.

As it is, the eight-time Pro Bowler seemed to be in good spirits. He noted that he’s taking the diagnosis seriously, is in quarantine and has left the house a total of four times over the past month. Miller was in San Francisco training at the time that city officials put in place a stay-at-home order. That’s when he decided to return to Denver.

We wish Miller the best as he fights off this deadly virus.
