Bears roasted all over again for picking Trubisky No. 2 overall during 2017 NFL Draft replay

The Bears taking MItchell Trubisky was one of the most stunning NFL offseason moves in 2017

The Chicago Bears famously passed up the opportunity to select Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson during the 2017 NFL Draft, opting instead to select Mitchel Trubisky No. 2 overall after trading up one spot to do so.

At the time of the trade and selection of Trubisky, the Bears were mercilessly ripped for the decision. Heck the San Francisco 49ers — the team that benefited from the trade — even got in on the action with a savage tweet.

Since then, the Bears have not gotten much out of Trubisky, who will have to fight with Nick Foles to keep the starting job this coming summer (assuming training camp takes place).

Needless to say, the trade up and selection did not work out the way Chicago hoped it would.

On Tuesday night, two days prior to the 2020 NFL Draft, ESPN2 rebroadcast the 2017 NFL Draft. And when the Bears took Trubisky, Twitter roasted the organization once more for the brutal pick.
