Report: Yankees’ minor league player tests positive for coronavirus

Yankees

A minor league player in the New York Yankees system has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, the coronavirus that has been classified as a pandemic, per Jeff Passan of ESPN.

Passan notes that the unnamed player is the first known case in baseball, and that he was in the team’s facility in Tampa before baseball postponed its season.

There are now three NBA players who have tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic, and on Saturday it was announced that an XFL player also tested positive.
