Report: NFL postpones off-season team activities indefinitely

NFL

Monday represented the first day of the NFL’s legal free-agent tampering period. There was some questions about whether this league would delay free agency with the coronavirus pandemic spreading across the States and North America.

While that is not the case, the league has decided to postpone off-season team activities indefinitely. It is also changing the rules regarding free agency. Those on the open market are not able to meet with teams. They’ll also take physicals in their local communities rather than at a team facility.

This makes perfect sense. Other professional sports leagues have already suspended their seasons, including MLB and the NBA.

There’s no telling when off-season programs will get going or whether there will even be any. The widespread pandemic is now branching out to pretty much every community in the nation. There’s seemingly no end in sight.
