The first major blockbuster of the NFL offseason has gone down. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Arizona Cardinals have traded Pro Bowl running back David Johnson to the Houston Texans.

This is an absolutely major deal for Houston. Johnson, 28, fell out of favor in Arizona this past season. He put up less than 400 rushing yards at a clip of 3.7 yards per rush.

Though, the former All-Pro is one year removed from tallying nearly 1,400 total yards in the desert. He did not fit into the Cardinals’ long-term plans.

Houston now nabs a player who put up a league-best 2,118 total yards and 20 touchdowns back in 2016.
