Bills announce $1.2 million donation to help New York during COVID-19 pandemic

New York has been the hardest hit state as the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic takes hold around the United States. The number of those infected with the virus is almost too surreal to believe. Total cases topped 30,000 on Wednesday, via The NY Times.

The NFL’s Buffalo Bills are now taking action to help those impacted by the pandemic in Western New York. Owners Terry and Kim Pegula have announced a donation of at least $1.2 million.

These Bills are just the latest example of an NFL team stepping up to help their local communities through these most difficult of times. A total of $1.2-plus million will go a long way in helping Western New York as citizens and local businesses attempt to fend off the pandemic.

It’s great to see those in a position of financial power help individuals who are in desperate need during this time of national and world-wide emergency.
