Aaron Judge has stress fracture in rib, surgery not off the table

The injury woes for New York Yankees star slugger Aaron Judge continue, and surgery is on the table after his latest update.

As shared by Bryan Hoch of MLB Network, Judge has a stress fracture in his rib and is out at least two weeks.

Judge appeared in just 102 games last season as injuries derailed his 2019 campaign. When healthy, he’s clearly one of the most dangerous hitters in baseball and set a record to prove it last season, becoming the fastest player in MLB history to hit 100 home runs.

For his sake, and the sake of the Yankees’ lineup, hopefully Judge can avoid surgery here and is able to get into the staring lineup for Opening Day. That said, the Yankees aren’t optimistic on that front, expecting Judge and teammate Giancarlo Stanton to miss the start of the season.
