New England Patriots teammates Tom Brady and Julian Edelman took in the North Carolina and Syracuse college basketball game in New York on Saturday.
They were joined by comedian Jimmy Fallon. However, that’s not really the story. Edelman could be seen mouthing “he’s coming back” to Fallon in talking about Brady’s pending free agency.
All Brady did was smile at the suggestion.
It’s notable in that recent reports suggest that Brady could very well leave New England after two decades and six Super Bowl titles once free agency opens up on March 18.
We’re still having a hard time believing it will come to fruition. It looks like Edelman is in the same boat. Though, that could be nothing more than the star receiver being in denial.
