Vikings’ Mike Zimmer unhappy about rumors he’s on the hot seat

Mike Zimmer hot seat

The Minnesota Vikings pulled off a dramatic upset of the New Orleans Saints in overtime on Sunday, enabling the team to potentially come away with a franchise-altering win over the 49ers next week.

Now that Minnesota is on to the divisional round, long-embattled head coach Mike Zimmer opened up about rumors that he’s on the hot seat. He’s obviously not too happy about said rumors.

Having success in the regular season is one thing. Making it count in the playoffs is a completely different ball game.

Despite laying out the facts, Zimmer ignores that this is just the second time Minnesota has advanced past Wildcard Weekend in his six seasons with the team.

Given the talent these Vikings possess, more success in January should be the name of the game.

The good news is that Zimmer could put to rest any further rumors of being on the hot seat with an upset win over the No. 1 seed San Francisco 49ers next week.
