Everyone knows that Los Angeles Chargers receiver Keenan Allen is Philip Rivers’ go-to receiver in big moments – everyone, except the Denver Broncos. The decision cost Denver dearly as Allen delivered another phenomenal play, this time late in the fourth quarter for the game-tying scoring.

Rivers saw his star receiver sitting at the 19-yard line with no defender within 10 yards of him. So, Rivers lofted it to Allen and caught it then burst towards the goal line before leaping over the defender and helicoptering in for the touchdown.

It’s one thing to leave Allen open early in the game, but it’s a whole different level of baffling to make this coverage mistake in the fourth quarter. Of course, it’s the type of mistakes we’ve seen from the Broncos in close games all year.
