Vikings star RB Dalvin Cook leaves game with shoulder injury

Dalvin Cook injury

The Minnesota Vikings push for a playoff spot was seemingly going well in front of a “home crowd” against the Chargers in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The team found itself up 19-10 at the half with Kirk Cousins and Co. moving the ball at will.

Unfortunately, star running back Dalvin Cook suffered a shoulder injury in the game and was almost immediately ruled out for the remainder of the outing.

This most definitely is not great news for the Vikings and their star back. Perhaps more than any other team in the NFL, Minnesota relies on Cook to do a bunch of different things.

The third-year back entered Sunday’s action having put up 1,611 total yards and 13 touchdowns on the season.

If this is indeed a long-term injury, it’s going to impact Minnesota big time as the team vies for both the NFC North title and a wild card spot.
