Vikings lose Dalvin Cook to injury as Seahawks recover fumble

The Minnesota Vikings had everything going for them against the Seahawks in Seattle Monday night.

Minnesota found itself up 17-10 at the half in an attempt to keep pace with the first-place Green Bay Packers. That’s when everything went awry.

Seattle tied the game up with a touchdown early in the third quarter. On the very next Vikings possession, stud running back Dalvin Cook lost a fumble.

That’s not the story here. Rather, it’s that both Cook and star receiver Stefon Diggs were injured on the play.

Cook headed to the locker room immediately with what looked to be a shoulder injury.

Cook has been absolutely tremendous this season. He entered Week 13 having put up 1,472 total yards and 11 touchdowns in 11 games. Remember, the former second-round pick missed the final 12 games of the 2017 season with a torn ACL.

It would be the worst-case scenario for Minnesota if Cook suffered a serious injury. The team relies on him so much on offense.

For his part, reports suggest that Diggs is just fine. He was a little banged up after the play.
