Suspended Nebraska players arrested for alleged sexual assault

After being suspended indefinitely by the Nebraska Cornhuskers, wide receiver Andre Hunt and tight end Katerian LeGrone have now been arrested for their connection to a sexual assault investigation

According to KOLN, Lincoln Police arrested Hunt and LeGrone for first-degree sexual assault on Tuesday. According to the report, both players are currently in Lancaster County Jail.

Both players were alleged to have committed sexual assault in a Lincoln apartment in August. After learning of the allegations, the team suspended them indefinitely on Aug. 28 before announcing in December that they received 2.5-year suspensions.

LeGrone and Hunt, both members of Nebraska’s 2018 recruiting class, didn’t play this season for the Cornhuskers.

Their collegiate careers are likely over as they now face potential charges from the allegations.
