After playing in the final game of the season for the New York Giants, running back Saquon Barkley gave rookie quarterback Daniel Jones a huge vote of confidence.

Barkley has backed Jones in a big way before. After Sunday’s game, he did it again.

The star running back was speaking to media in the locker room and said Jones will “be one of the best quarterbacks in the league. That’s a fact.”

Barkley elaborated by complimenting Jones’ work ethic and passion for the sport.

Jones certainly showed arm talent as a rookie for the Giants. He started 12 games, going 3-9, while passing for 3,027 yards with 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Jones also passed for at least four touchdowns three times, which is darn impressive.

Time will tell if Jones has what it takes to live up to Barkley’s prediction. But the early returns were positive for the No. 6 overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.
