Washington Redskins rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins took a shot to the knees Sunday, went down in pain then limped off the field.

The rookie was hit low in the third quarter after having thrown two touchdown passes in the first half.

Here’s a look at the play.

After limping to the sideline, Haskins was carted into the locker room, and veteran Case Keenum replaced him.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media noted it is an ankle injury.

This is a brutal injury for Haskins, who has looked markedly improved the past few weeks.
