NFL world roasts Browns for parting ways with GM John Dorsey

The Cleveland Browns are the most dysfunctional team in the NFL. They proved it again on Tuesday, parting ways with general manager John Dorsey.

The decision comes just two days after owner Jimmy Haslam fired head coach Freddie Kitchens after one season. The Browns went into the season believing this team could compete in the AFC with the talent Dorsey collected since being hired as general manager in 2017.

Cleveland’s roster certainly did lack for talent. However, a lack of discipline appeared throughout the season and was routinely highlighted by star players taking shots at Kitchens and getting into heated confrontations with him.

The lack of improvement and discipline followed by an ugly Week 17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals led to Kitchens’ termination.

Despite winning 13 games over the past two seasons, an improvement compared to the team’s 15 combined wins from 2013-’17, Haslam opted to fire his general manager.

As soon as the decision was announced, it didn’t take long before the NFL world roasted the Browns’ organization and that familiar feeling of hopelessness returned to the fan base.
