Four players were announced as Heisman Trophy finalists on Monday, with Joe Burrow being joined by Justin Fields, Jalen Hurts and Chase Young.

It’s a star-studded field, but one player stands above the pack as most deserving of the Heisman Trophy in 2019.

Here, we rank the four Heisman Trophy finalists, from fourth to first.

4. Chase Young, defensive end, Ohio State

If Chase Young hadn’t been suspended two games, he almost certainly would rank higher on this list. He was the best player in college football this past season. Period.

Playing in just 11 games due to the suspension, Young racked up 44 tackles, including 21 for a loss, and led the nation with 16.5 sacks, along with seven forced fumbles.

3. Justin Fields, quarterback, Ohio State

Fields was outstanding this year. But he also had a ton of help in the backfield with J.K. Dobbins carrying the load to the tune of 1,829 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground.

Still, what Fields did was darn impressive, and he absolutely deserved to take the trip to New York for the Heisman Trophy presentation.

Fields’ stats:

  • 67.5% passer, throwing for 2,953 yards with 40 touchdowns and one interception.
  • 471 yards rushing, with 10 touchdowns

2. Jalen Hurts, quarterback, Oklahoma

A phenomenal dual-threat passer, Hurts has Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff and has clearly been one of the best players in the nation for the past few years. His final collegiate campaign was one to remember, as he took to Lincoln Riley’s offense like a fish takes to water.

Hurts’ stats:

  • 71.8% passer, throwing for 3,634 yards with 32 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
  • 1,255 yards rushing, with 18 touchdowns

1. Joe Burrow, quarterback, LSU

There’s no doubt that Burrow will win the 2019 Heisman Trophy, right? This guy has been leading the way for most of the year after stunning everyone with a torrid start that never let up. Burrow has led the Tigers to dominant victories against some of the nation’s best teams, and LSU’s No. 1 ranking shows that.

Even better, he had his definitive Heisman moment during the SEC title game.

Burrow’s stats:

  • 77.9% passer, throwing for 4,715 yards with 48 touchdowns and six interceptions.
  • 289 yards rushing with three touchdowns.
