Report: LeSean McCoy a healthy scratch for Chiefs vs Titans

Veteran running back LeSean McCoy will not play Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Tennessee Titans. And according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, this isn’t due to an injury issue. Instead, McCoy is a healthy scratch.

James Palmer of NFL Network added to this, saying that this “was a predetermined rest week” for McCoy because the Chiefs want him healthy for the stretch run.

McCoy, 31, was released by the Buffalo Bills after training camp this summer in a move that surprised some.

The Chiefs were all too happy to pick him up on a one-year deal, and he’s been productive for them the first half of the season, tallying 500 yards and three touchdowns from scrimmage.
