Just two weeks after he suffered a dislocated kneecap, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes now has a chance to play in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Mahomes is listed as questionable for Week 9 and the team thinks he has a shot at playing.

It would be outstanding news for Kansas City after it dropped a close game on Sunday Night Football to the Green Bay Packers. Mahomes would further elevate an already explosive offense and give the Chiefs a great chance against the Vikings.

However, the organization could still choose to play it safe with its star quarterback and the reigning NFL MVP. Backup quarterback Matt Moore played well in Mahomes’ absence in Week 8 and an additional week of rest could be very beneficial for Mahomes’ leg.
