Chargers announce Philip Rivers will remain starting QB

Los Angeles Chargers starting quarterback Philip Rivers is currently in a downward spiral unlike anything we’ve seen from the potential future Hall of Famer.

Rivers threw four interceptions in a terrible performance against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night and has tossed seven picks over the past two games.

Despite this, Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn indicates that the team is sticking with Rivers as their starter moving forward.

It would have taken a whole heck of a lot for Los Angeles to bench its franchise quarterback.

But at 4-7 on the season and with Rivers’ future in doubt, there might come a time when the Chargers decide to see what they have in either veteran Tyrod Taylor or rookie Easton Stick.

Currently in the midst of his worst season, the 37-year-old Rivers has tossed 15 touchdowns compared to 14 interceptions in 11 games.
