WATCH: Scary moment as foul ball hits security guard during ALCS

The New York Yankees took a 2-0 lead in Game 2 of their ALCS series against the Houston Astros Sunday night after this Aaron Judge bomb.

Down 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Astros star George Springer made sure that the lead didn’t hold for too long.

Springer took reliever Adam Ottavino deep with a solo homer to tie the game up at two. The ball was absolutely crushed.

Once the ball landed, it traveled 418 feet and left Springer’s bat at 106.3 mph. Yeah, this thing was absolutely jacked.

Unfortunately, that’s not the story here. The very next at-bat saw Michael Brantley hit a ball into the Astros’ dugout. It hit a security guard. Brantley and his fellow Astros players were clearly shook up over the incident.

Reports suggest that the security guard had to be taken off the field to receive medical attention.

Hopefully the injury isn’t as serious as it seems. We’ll obviously have further updates when they become available. For now, our thoughts are with the unnamed security guard.
