Andy Dalton was brutal in Bengals shutout loss to Ravens.

The Cincinnati Bengals had a chance to force a tie in the fourth quarter of their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Andy Dalton, though, was having none of it.

While facing pressure from Taven Bryan, Dalton attempted to throw the ball away. Well, we think that’s what he was trying for.

Unfortunately for Dalton, it didn’t go well. Yannick Ngakoue was there to bring the ball in and went 23 yards for the pick six.

Wow.

It’s hard to put a finger on exactly what Dalton was thinking here.

If this was fourth down, we’d get it. If time was close to expiring, we’d get it. But on second-and-10 with more than four minutes remaining? Not so much.

If you’re going to throw the ball away, throw it away. NFL quarterbacks usually learn that before their ninth season in the league but for Dalton’s sake, let’s hope this is a better late than never situation
