The New England Patriots are set to host the New York Giants in one of the most lopsided “Thursday Night Football” matchups in NFL history.

New England heads into this game as 17-point home favorites against rookie quarterback Daniel Jones and Co.

Everything seems to be pointing to the defending champs remaining undefeated with a convincing win.

Vegas agrees. A simple $50,000 bet on the Patriots winning outright would earn you a cool $4,165.00. That’s not a typo. And it has us wondering why anybody would waste their time making a bet of this ilk.

To be fair, there’s really no reason to believe New York will even keep this game close. Pats head coach Bill Belichick has never lost to a rookie quarterback at home.

New England has outscored its first five opponents, 155-34. Meanwhile, the team’s defense has yielded zero passing touchdowns compared to 11 interceptions.

If that weren’t enough, star Giants running back Saquon Barkley joins starting tight end Evan Engram and No. 1 receiver Sterling Shepard on the sideline for this game.

On second thought, make the bet.
