NFL world reacts to Bears losing in most Bears way ever

The Chicago Bears spent the entire offseason and training camp looking for a kicker to avoid a repeat of their postseason kicking disaster.

Just weeks after Chicago thought its kicking woes were solved after Eddy Pineiro drilled a game-winning field goal against the Denver Broncos, reality came crashing in on Sunday.

Chicago caught a break late in the fourth quarter down 17-16 when the Los Angeles Chargers went three-and-out and gave the ball back with 96 seconds left. The Bears moved down the field quickly.

Sitting at the Chargers’ 32-yard line, Chicago’s head coach Matt Nagy had Mitchell Trubisky take a knee to kill the clock rather than gain a few extra yards for Pineiro. It’s a move that backfired in epic fashion.

As the field goal sailed left of the posted, the NFL world erupted in amazement and laughter as Chicago’s shot at victory once again came undone by a kicker.
