Former teammate shades Kirk Cousins: ‘Weakest part’ of Vikings offense

Kirk Cousins has taken a lot of heat lately for his struggles leading the Minnesota Vikings’ potentially potent offense, and now a former teammate is chiming in.

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Zach Brown, who played with Cousins in Washington, threw some extensive shade at his former teammate.

“Cousins, I think every defense is going to want that guy to throw the ball,” Brown said after Friday’s practice, per Tim McManus of ESPN. “For me, that’s probably the weakest part of their offense is him. Everything else is good. They’ve got a good running game, probably one of the best in the league. They have real good receivers. You just want them to pass the ball. You want Kirk Cousins to get it in his hands.”

Brown elaborated, saying he found out during his time in Washington that Cousins, “was kind of careless with the ball.”

Cousins, who recently garnered support from President Donald Trump, will have a chance to prove Brown wrong on Sunday as he and his teammates host the Eagles.

Clearly, Brown isn’t concerned about providing Cousins with any bulletin-board material.
