Ryan Hilinski could not have thrown it any better, and the concentration shown by Shi Smith to bring in the pass against Alabama was superb.

In the first quarter, down by 11 points, South Carolina’s offense woke up in a big way. Hilinski and Smith connected on a gorgeous 31-yard touchdown that Smith hauled down in between two defenders.

This play came just shortly after Tua Tagovailoa connected with Henry Ruggs on an 81-yard touchdown to go up by two scores. So, the ability to respond like that immediately afterward was huge for the Gamecocks to stay in this game.
