Patrick Mahomes made the ultimate business decision in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback found himself in front of rookie Mecole Hardman, who had reversed field on a busted play and had room to run.

Mahomes looked like he was going to lead block for the receiver, a la Russell Wilson from last weekend. Instead, he did this:

That’s just hilarious.

It’s also extremely smart. There was a herd of Baltimore defenders headed his way. Rather than risk injury, he simply slid to the ground, living to fight another day.
