WATCH: Alex Smith on field with no limp, crutches

It sure looks like injured Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith has improved leaps and bounds since suffering a horrific leg injury last November.

Smith was seen on the field ahead of his team’s game against the Chicago Bears on Monday night. The Pro Bowler had no visible limp and did not need crutches to navigate the field.

Smith will still miss the remainder of the 2019 season. It’s also not yet known whether he will ever play again.

The former No. 1 overall pick suffered an infection following his initial surgery, setting back his timeline for return and potentially ending the quarterback’s career. In fact, he almost lost his leg.

At the very least, it does seem that he’s moving around at a good clip. That’s some great news.
