Report: Texans release free-agent bust Aaron Colvin

The Houston Texans saw enough of veteran cornerback Aaron Colvin getting beat in Monday night’s loss to the New Orleans Saints.

How much so? The team has reportedly elected to release Colvin a mere 11 games into his tenure with Houston.

Colvin was beat early and often in New Orleans’ dramatic comeback win over Houston. One situation stands out in a specific manner. Not only did Colvin allow the catch that set New Orleans up for the game-winning field goal, he had a mental lapse of epic proportions.

This comes after the Texans signed Colvin to a four-year, $34 million contract with $18 million guaranteed ahead of the 2018 season. As noted, he still has $7.5 million guaranteed on his deal this year.
