Officials blasted for not overturning obvious PI call

After already seeing the NFL overturn a pass interference earlier in the game, many NFL fans expected to see the same review process call a missed defensive pass interference to open the third quarter of Thursday Night Football.

Instead, fans quickly learned that the NFL’s review process and what qualifies as pass interference seems to change on a play-by-play basis.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers lofted a ball towards wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. What appeared to be a clear defensive pass interference by Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Avonte Maddox turned out to be clean in the eyes of the NFL.

The announcement by the officials immediately sent fans on social media into an uproar with reactions blasting the league’s review process and inconsistent calls.
